Description

An unusual pair of French tub armchairs in beech with hand carved, fluted, shaped legs. Manufactured circa 1930, the chairs have undergone restoration to strengthen the frames and ground up reupholstery with new springs, webbing, hair, calico/hessian. Some minor cosmetic wear and tear to the frames commensurate with age.

The chairs are newly covered in sumptuous and hard wearing George Smith mohair velvet (colour mink, 100,000 martindale). New 100% feather cushion. 50 hours of upholstery work.

Beautifully shaped chairs and very comfortable.
