Description

A well-proportioned French library or easy armchair from the Louis Philippe period circa 1850.  Scrolled arms and turned legs. Original cigar colour leather with a hint of claret.

The seat has been rebuilt by us in-house including new springs, webbing and stuffing whilst retaining the original leather.  The armchair frame has been checked and regaled to ensure it’s solid.  The leather has been strengthened and patched in places (see photos of upholstery process), giving plenty more years of use. It could be raised on castors if desired. And…it’s delightfully comfortable to relax in.
