Description
Original early to mid 19th century French refectory kitchen dining table. Looks like a blend of woods used with the peg construction and tapered legs. Pitch pine top, oak apron and possibly elm legs. I x large end drawer, 1 x small cutlery middle drawer.
Provenance – Chateau Gendriac near Le Puy en Velay, France – where we picked the table up and had been there all its existence (photos attached).
The table is a great length at 2.80m. Currently height is 74cm and leg clearance 58cm which is a little low. We suggest extending the legs with an invisible scarf joint by 3-4cm to get the ideal height which we can do via one of our restorers.
