Citroen DS 21 Decapotable Pedal Car

Citroen DS 21 Decapotable Pedal Car

Product Description

1960’s Citroen DS21 Decapotable.

MG, as it was known, was the manufacturer of high quality pedal cars from the 1950’s until the 1970’s, covering most French cars of that era, one of the rarest and most sort after is the Citroen DS Decapotable.

The company made various variants throughout its production run, originally metal with no lights and then additions such as wing mirrors, opening bonnet and lastly in the late 1960’s and 1970’s the plastic version with neither lights or engine details.  The cost of producing such a high quality children’s toy proved prohibitive.

This particular example was purchased from the previous owner in South West France and had unfortunately been badly repainted.  It’s been recently sandblasted and resprayed inside and outside by a professional car body shop in an authentic Citroen DS white colour. Now in beautiful working condition, no rust and the odd minor dent to the bodywork.  Hardly ever seen in the UK, this is a very rare opportunity for a DS fan.
