Description

A rare and recently refurbished 1970/80’s Eames Time Life or Lobby desk armchair.  This is a swivel and height adjustable desk model, likely manufactured by Mobilier in France.

This model is the more upright and higher desk chair version (ES104 or 3474/3475) and has the 4 leg aluminium base on castors.  There is no manufacture label under the chair but the bolts are metric which indicate European manufacture by either Mobilier or Vitra.

The chair has just been professionally recovered in leather by our upholster who has extensive knowledge of these chairs and has upholstered approximately 20 of these chair for us now to a very high standard.  We personally select the best quality aniline leather hides from Alma leather, London.  This hide is a light grain mid brown, low sheen and beautifully soft yet hard wearing.

Additionally:

Height adjust mechanism has been checked and in full working order.  Metal base has been checked for fatigue and in solid condition.  Seat and back pads in excellent condition.  Castors run smoothly.  All parts to the chair original to the chair except the leather.  Note some wear to the aluminium arms and base (see photos).  We can send out a sample of the leather used to prospective buyers prior to purchase.
